It is not allowed to use Eco Mark logo or indicate“currently applied for Eco Mark Eand so on before the conclusion of Eco Mark Utilization Contract. Until the Eco Mark Utilization Contract has been concluded, do not ship product indicated with Eco Mark to the market. |

Q2.Can we indicate Eco Mark on product made with raw material (intermediate good) and component that are certified ? |
| |
When an intermediate good has been certified, you cannot indicate Eco Mark or show the text such as“Eco Mark certified product”on product processed using that good. In this case, by obtaining a new Eco Mark certification with the final product, Eco Mark can be indicated. |

The certified product is effective until the term of validity of certification criteria expires. Accordingly, even if the certification criteria was reviewed and a new certification criteria established after contract conclusion, Eco Mark can be used (shipped as Eco Mark product) in succession until its date of expiration provided that the Eco Mark Utilization Contract is effective. However, the method of indication hitherto must be observed and that it cannot be altered to that of the new certification criteria at will. |

Q6. In connection with
previous Q5, what shall we do if we want to change indication
and etc. under new version of certification criteria? |
| |
If you obtain certification under established certification
criteria (new version) anew, use of new Eco Mark indication
and new certification number will be available.

Q6, will current Eco Mark indication be unavailable when we
obtain certification anew under new version of certification
criteria? |

Yes, it is still available. You can use current Eco Mark

QEE will it be incorrect use if we do not indicate new Eco
Mark indication and new certification number after the next
day of expiry date of current certification criteria? |

No, not incorrect use. If you obtain certification anew,
which is related to the answer of Q6, you are allowed to choose
and use current Eco Mark indication and certification number
continuously. As a principle, however, change the indication
and crtification number to new ones when you issue a new edition. |

Q9.It was discovered in
a catalogue already published that there was a wrong indication
included in part of Eco Mark product. How do we deal with
it ? |

In case of a catalogue and so on where Eco Mark product
and other product are listed, which the date of publication
is put down, it is considered that information at the time
of publication is right. Therefore, as long as the indication
was right in the previous publication, it can be corrected
to the right indication at the time of next publication. However
in case the indication was already wrong in the previous publication,
make correction immediately.
Furthermore, those without date of publication put down, correct
to the right indications immediately.

Q10.We are not supervising
catalogues published by the third party. Is it necessary to
grasp Eco Mark indications in connection with other company’s
product ? |

This is the case likely to be misunderstood as the third party, who has not concluded Eco Mark Utilization Contract with this association, using Eco Mark without certification. As this is also a case when wrong use of Eco Mark is most likely to happen, please instruct the third party to properly indicate “Eco Mark product brand name, E“Eco Mark certification number, Eand “the name of Utilization Contractor (your company) Eso that your Eco Mark product can be identified. In case a wrong usage has been found by any chance, this association will take legal actions including criminal accusation against the third party directly with the purpose of protecting the contractor, Eco Mark product, and so on.

Q11.Can we use Eco Mark
as a design ? |
| |
Eco Mark is a registered trade mark of Japan Environment Association. It is not allowed to use it as a design by making it into a pattern by connecting Eco Mark each other, incorporating into an illustration, and so on. |

Q12.Can we frame Eco Mark
or deform the mark ? |
| |
It is not allowed to frame the whole Eco Mark further with a square and so on. Please do not deform Eco Mark or reduce it excessively to an extent that the section of empty space becomes squeezed.

Q13.Can we reverse the
color of Eco Mark ? |
| |
In the event of printing Eco Mark on the colored base, the base may be shown at the section of“e”and the earth (empty space). You can also daub with black (reverse) the section of“e”and the earth. |

Q15.When printing a name
in Eco Mark certified product, can we still indicate Eco Mark
? |

In case of printing a name in Eco Mark certified product
such as envelop, name card, and ball point pen, Eco Mark can
still be indicated as it is by taking the following procedures.
also, in any case, Eco Mark must be properly indicated with
Eco Mark certification number and the name of Utilization
Contractor (or either one of them is OK.)
Eco Mark can be used only by the Utilization Contractor. The third party is not allowed to indicate Eco Mark along with a name. (The Utilization Contractor, may, under its supervision, consign printing of Eco Mark and others to the third party before the shipment of the Eco Mark product.

For instance, when changing the color and shape (specifications of the whole product) at the individual request of the party putting a name, it is required to register it as a product to be printed with a name using a new number. In this case, the said product indicated with Eco Mark can be shipped after the date of approval of the certification of addition. In addition, with regard to items to be altered, that are related to certification criteria, it is required to submit certification documents, and so on separately. |

Eco Mark can be indicated only for product certified as
Eco Mark product. However, in the case of product sold as
a set, Eco Mark can be indicated on certain conditions. Please
