Eco Mark application
About the application of Examination for Product Certification
Certification Criteria are set up for each product category. A product must meet the applicable criteria, and then the product can be applied for Certification Examination.

Basic flow of the certification
Basic flow from application for the Eco Mark certification to the conclusion of a contract is shown below.

Documents required for application
(1) Application for Eco Mark Certification and Use [Form 2] -- 1 (one) application per a product.
(2) Model name/product number, JAN code list [Form 2 attachment]
(3) Registration of Applicant Information and a Person in Charge of License Fee Payment [Form 3-1]
(Note)
・Form 3-1 is submitted at the initial application for the Eco Mark certification.
・The e-application system does not require Form 3-1 to be submitted.
(4) Eco Mark Product Sales Report [Form 3-2]
・Form 3-2 is submitted at the initial application for the Eco Mark certification.
(5) Proof materials, attached certificates, etc. for explaining conformity
Formats of attached certificates, etc. can be downloaded on the webpage of each product category (https://www.ecomark.jp/nintei/)
(6) Design drawing for indication of the Eco Mark (its draft is acceptable)
The ZIP file below contains sample logos and documentation explaining how to create display samples. Please attach the sample indication to the application.
Fee for applying for Product Certification Examination
Application fee for Eco Mark certification must be paid along with the application. Please transfer the fee to the following designated bank account. Your application will be put on hold until payment is confirmed.

* When making multiple applications simultaneously, the payment can be made in one time.
* The applicant is responsible for any charges related to the transfer.
* The application fee is not refundable for any reason whatsoever.
Eco Mark License Fee
Besides the application fee, the annual license fee shall be paid each year as specified in the fee provision based on the total sales of all the Eco Mark certified products.
Deadline of application
The application deadline: the last day of each month as general. (date of arrival of the documents at the Eco Mark Office)

You can choose one of two ways to apply.

Download the required documents above and upload them to the system screen. Please note that the e-application system is available only in Japanese.

Download the required documents above and send them to the email address below.
Please use a file transfer or online storage if the attachment exceeds 25MB.
